Comments:
I couldn't play on the low end of our spectrum allocations due to my 160m
antenna missing a part - a roundtoit. Its still sitting on the ground since
a rope broke this summer. So I decided to play at the top of the HF
spectrum in the 10m RTTY contest. I didn't know there was 10m RTTY contest
until earlier this week when I saw it listed somewhere. Figured it would be
a good tuneup for ARRL RTTY Roundup next month since the rules are the
same. I tried to set up the station for SO2V thinking it might be useful.
Found a bug in N1MM+ that craps out 2Tone. Drop back to N1MM Classic for
the weekend. Caught a few JAs Saturday night before the band died. Good
thing I did, as Sunday evening was a bust. Band and activity died before
time expired. Good EU opening Sunday morning before having to run
honey-do's. Highlight was busting the pileup for HZ1 for a new one on RTTY.
Decent amount of activity, especially considering most of the hardcore
Contestnistas were sleep deprived from 160 all nighters. Worked a fair
number of calls that I know had to have been working 160 earlier. Hope the
band stays at least this good for next weekend.
