Guys,
Anybody have some free WIN-XP compatible software that creates a virtual
serial port and allows that port to link to a real com port?
KISS. From what I've seen present generation software gets really
complicated fast-- wanting to do it via telnet/servers/geek methods.
I used to have VSPE that allowed me to link a real com port to a virtual
port. Removed it some time ago. The virtual port is then used with
LPBRIDGE to allow multiple things to communicate with the K3.
Unfortunately the makers of VSPE now are charging $100 per version. It
used to be free. Thank you WIN8.
I'm working on a K3 "button box" that allows changing bands, mode, split
and a bunch more with a remote box and outputs RS232 level commands to
do it. It does indeed work OK. I have to get over this last hurtle.
