[PVRCNC] PVRC-NC East chapter June 2013 Meetin' Minnits

El Escribano, in a rare moment of semi-lucidity, actually jotted down 
notes of a few items from the NC-East June 2013 chapter meeting that are 
of possible wider interest to chapter and PVRC members.

The June 2013 meeting was called to order by Cat-Herd DuJure and 
Exhalted Chairman Cat-Herd From-Chapter-Past AA4NC.

Once the QRM had died down to an acceptable level some 10 minnits later, 
AA4NC noted that In our midst was K6RM, Barry Pfeil.  Barry was by 
choice attending his second meeting of the NC East chapter, and 
therefore eligible for membership.  Before K6RM was able to rise from 
his chair and dash for the door, a motion was made, seconded, and voted 
to induct K6RM into the NC-East chapter.  Having recently located to NC 
from CA, it was also noted that Barry would be a "double mult" for PVRC 
in Sweeps, but only if we can keep him operating in PVRC territory 
rather than flying back to multi with friends in NCCC.

Welcome to NC Barry.

In other actual club 'bidness', AA4NC noted the long years of service 
given by K4OV as chapter chairman(i.e. NC-East Exhalted High Cat-Herd), 
and that Rob now needed to step down from the position.

Vicious rumor indicated N4YDU may have imbibed enough 807's to consider 
stepping up to the task of replacing K4OV and becoming 
Admiral-elPresidente Cat Herd of the NC East chapter.  Swiveling his 
head sharply right N4YDU heard 'so motioned'.  Swiveling his head left 
he heard 'seconded'.  Pushing his chair back from the table he heard 
'all in favor?'. Fortunately W0UCE had blocked the path to the door with 
his chair, and the "AYE's" thundered through the room before the 
increasingly desperate and not completely inebriated 'YDU could bolt.

Accepting the news well, Admiral-elPresidente Cat-Herd Elect YDU 
announced that repayment for all of the AYE voters would be made at any 
time and they should "check their six" often.  He then assumed the role, 
cracked the whip,  and handed the meeting over to W4MY.

W4MY presented awards to W0UCE, AA4NC, and N4YDU for their performances 
during the NCQSOP.  Marty also presented a background tale on the NC 
QSOP, the recent changes that have been made to its format, information 
of participant feedback, and surveyed members present for ideas on 
possible changes being considered to try to improve the QSOP for everyone.

As bedlam, QRM & QRN once again swamped the meeting hall, 
Admiral-elpresidente Cat-Herd N4YDU wisely made a brilliant executive 
decision and adjourned the official meeting.  An EyeBall-80m net soon 
broke out........

The NC-East chapter as a group would like to thank Rob, K4OV, for 
serving the chapter as chairman.  I personally feel that his enthusiasm 
for the sport, for the chapter, and for PVRC have been greatly 
appreciated.  Hopefully Rob's schedule will allow him to join us more 
often in the future.
