Gents....

I have talked about trying to get us into the transmitting plant of the
local TV stations and stand at the base of the 2000' behemoths that sprout
up near Clayton.  Well we have the invite.  We just need to pick a night
that we would like to convene.

KD4PBS, Matt is a good friend of mine and just happens to be the Chief
Engineer for Ch 22 and 28.  Ch 22 is on the same tower (the candelabra) as
WRAL and 50.  There are a couple of FMs there such as WRAL-FM, and I think
WUNC has a digital TV "repeater" there now as well.  28 is on another tower
that has WCMC-FM and some other goodies (including the 88 repeater I
think).  Though it is not like the good ole days of 250kW transmitters to
end up with an ERP of 5MW, some of them still put out a decent power of
about 75kW to produce 1MW ERP.

So talk amongst yourselves, or at the meeting tomorrow, and lets start
picking a night we would like to go out there.
