Jack,
You should really make the effort to get that item. You can never have too
many HC-4's. They and other similar devices are so common and useful that
ham rig manufacturers actually include places to attach them right on the
front panel of their gear. And, they almost always include one with a new
transceiver!
Now...how many manufacturers actually include a CW key with their gear!?
And, they almost never include a front panel attachment point!
So, get that HC-4! You can still do CW with it...by saying
"dah-di-dah-dit...dah-dah-di-dah..."
And...I will not be able to attend this weeks meeting, or I would gladly
trade a few beers for a spare HC-4.
