The problem with LoTW is not a hardware issue but a software issue that the ARRL either refuses to address or admit to, and clearly is not saying if they are interested in fixing it or not.
We are suffering from the ARRL's reaction to Don Miller's escapades a half century ago!

Tom, N4NW has hit the nail on the head! It is ridiculous that I can make bank and brokerage account transactions worth lots of real money (to me at least) simply, easily and instantly using a computer or CELL PHONE!
If someone somehow cheats on DXCC, big whoop - who cares? I will not be losing sleep if someone has a bigger number. I like using LOTW only because I dislike the time it takes to do paper QSLs, but the process is beyond bizarre.
I have been trying to get a simple "unsigned" certificate for an upcoming contest DXpedition and have been waiting for over 3 weeks. I guess they are all busy trying to come up with enough TRS80 or Commodore 64s to run in parallel to give them adequate computing power.
