One of the best I can recall... Great job by the mobiles this year. N4CW, K4QPL, AA4XX and others all had good signals and were easy to work.

My apologies for liddish behavior on CW. My K3 was doing some weird things like going into a no receive deaf mode for 5-10 seconds for some unknown reason. Eventually, it showed a ERR FW2 which is a firmware error. I reloaded all of the firmware and it seemed to have helped. That's the last time I'll ever load a beta version. I pulled back to the latest production version.

I got all four of the bonus stations, but I'm always fuzzy on how to calculate the points. It's 50 points for each, then 150 if you work both NI4BK and W4DW. Is that at total of 250, or 150? I assumed 250 which may be 100 points too much. Same math for Cherokee and Dare.

One other bit of logging weirdness - Rules said that DX stations were to send their prefix. In N1MM logger, you could not enter the prefix as the exchange. It would only accept DX (the default) for a non US/VE.

Comments:

Always a good contest...Missed it last year doing the NAQP RTTY and CQ160 from
V31RR. 10 hours is a good length. Doesn't kill your weekend and the pace never
slows down.

Nice to work lots of friends and familiar calls. Also good to hear some new
voices and calls to keep things fresh.

Kudos to W4MY and RARS for sponsoring a great event.
