Club: Potomac Valley Radio Club

I was only going to work a couple of hours in this contest, but I kept
sneaking back to my radio for another 10 minutes here and another hour
there.  My goal of 100 Q¹s turned into 500 and then 750 Q¹s.  I always enjoy
this contest, and the QTCs keep it interesting.

My rotor was stuck pointing S on Friday, so I puttered around on 40 and 80
Friday night.  The low bands were noisy here, especially with my failed (so
far) attempts to resurrect my RX antennas.  I did tough out a few slow but
mult-inducing runs on 40m.

Somehow, my rotor was unstuck Saturday morning, so I moved it NE and didn¹t
touch it further.  From here, it was mostly 15m in my day-time efforts and
20m at night.  I alternated S&P with running ­ I should have done more
running!  I caught a weak Sunday morning opening on 10m for some mults, too.
I had a very nice run on 20m to finish the contest ­ everybody looking for
someone new to work at the end.  I enjoy hearing the glee from EU¹s getting
a full set of QTCs in the final hour!

I¹m happy to contribute points to PVRC ­ lot¹s of fun doing it.
