[PVRCNC] PVRC NC-East April Chapter meeting

Oh My Goodness... The PVRCNC confab venue - "good food" - potential
possibility of a foxy waitress and Intriguing Panel Discussion is far too
exciting to pass up.  Sure makes me glad I don't own a D-104 or Hiel
Gizzywhich that plugs into a 75m net "whatever" that is.  

I just can't wait till next Thursday.

 

 

As March trickles down the hour glass like pollen out of the oaks, 

marketh thy calenderith for the April meeting of the NC-East Chapter.

 

It will be Thursday April 5th.  Same time and place as usual(I hope).

A lively meeting is on tap(along with 807's contents).  There will be 

running discussions where the participants will settle all of today's 

major issues, including(but never limited to):

Of course, those may all be permutations of the same arguments....but 

the most lively discussion may well be over the bestest antenna 

protectant and anti-attenuation coating evah, between:

 

Dr DX's Double-Zepp Antenna Wax(as advertised on the Fi-Ni Report)

vs

Kazmo's Kosmic Kardoid Karnuba Kompound with "Ginormous Gain Gathering 

Globules!" (a pigPharm Industries patience-pending-product)

 

We'll close out the evening with a dissertation on how the amateur radio 

community has been deceived for 80 years with the misnomer "Continuous 

Wave"(commonly known as CW), as it rather obvious a continuous wave is 

unable to communicate any useful information.  This will of course cause 

great consternation to the contest community as records for past decades 

will need to be revised to reflect the new politically correctified term 

"DIS-continuous Wave"(DW).

 

Or you can just stay home and listen to any given 75m net.  Pretty much 

the same thing.

 

Wrong-o, pollen breath!  Hop in that sickly green auto and slide on down 

to Manchesters'. At the meeting there will be 807's, fine dining(ahem), 

and if we get unusually luck, an attractive female waitstaff.  So why 

waste another night on 75m?
