No sweat: the end is not until December 21st, well past the log 
submission deadline.

Now, for the second question: How shall I plan for my wife's birthday 
party on the 21st? Maybe light the candles at 11:59 on the 20th and say 
"Blow out the candles, but don't bother making a wish"?
