[PVRCNC] Radio Heroes: Letters of Compassion

Just putting the word out that Lisa Spahr, author of book titled in the subject line, will be speaking at the RARS general membership meeting on Sept 4 at 7:30 pm. 

Normally don't announce RARS business here, but she is from St. Louis, MO and is an extraordinary speaker.  She is a past consultant for the NSA, and Pentagon in Wash, DC as are/were many PVRCers.  She spoke on this subject of her book at Dayton in 2011. 

If you are interested in history in general, and radio in particular, you certainly don't want to miss this.  I have been a ham 35 years and somewhat of a history buff.   This subject matter totally escaped me!  I was delighted to learn something brand new regarding ham radio when I saw her presentation at Dayton.  

Your XYL will enjoy it also as Lisa tells the story of how all this ties in with her family.  No technical mumbo-jumbo.
