Comments:
For all of you lamenting how you dislike SSB, you must really have a hard
time maintaining sanity at dinner parties and large social events. I would
compare 40M evenings as being at a large wedding reception with a band
(SWBC stations) playing.
Family commitments reduced my BIC factor considerably. The XYL had
surgery on Thursday, so I had to maintain the household over the weekend. So, I
decided on a single band S&P effort.
It was great working all of the PVRC members. My first was N4ZR, which
meant that I did not have to worry about working WV later in the contest. I
am sure that I worked more PVRC than NCCC members.
Thanks to help from K2AV, I decided to go with a 2 element Inverted-V yagi
versus a vertical Moxon fixed to the NW. It played well as the band went
longer, but most of my contacts were on the N/S oriented array.
Do I win any award for a "clean sweep" of all 3 of the K4VV stations on a
single band?
Enjoyed the Monday afternoon warm weather today by taking down the 40M
antennas and starting to get the arrays ready for the 10M contest in a few
weeks.
73,
Henry - K4TMC
