[PVRCNC] SS chatter

Will,

We definitely missed you and your great SS experience. Good question. Don't
think that exact issue was discussed. There was a consensus that if the high
bands are open as expected, Sunday afternoon should be a great time to be
on. Anyone who could not be BIC for the full 24 should plan to be on then so
I guess that may also apply to a possible trade off from Saturday night.

The big question is how the low bands will perform if the high bands are
hot. 80 and 40 weren't very good in WW so if they're also down for SS, your
idea could be a very good one. I've never pushed my late night time too much
as I've always felt that even when making qso's after midnight west coast
time, (0700Z) they tended to be other hard core contesters (which we'll work
at some point anyhow). "Normal" hours are where we're most likely to find
the casuals or low-time contesters which are the ones that must be worked to
boost the absolute total, particularly on cw where the pond has a limited
supply of fish. The other reason is personal--I need a break by then.

GL all.

Jim
