3-500? You mean 3-500Z? 3-500Z can be tested in an SB220/221, AL82, a lot
of LK-xxx amps two tubes at a time, AL80x one tube at a time.
4CX1500 is tough, not used much, and the A or B is significant, not same
tube. The tube (either) can be toast even though the filament has
continuity. Ebay answer is filament continuity no way to test.
I haven't seen an amp running a 250TH in decades. That is extreme oldie,
old in the '50's. It's probably OK if you have continuity on the filaments.
4CX1000A is the tetrode used in Alpha current top-of-line manual tune amp,
8410. 8410 uses a pair of 4CX1000, if you know someone who has one.
