[PVRCNC] tornadoes

Hello Howie and All:

I have been reading the mail here from Gainesville, Florida, where we had 40 MPH winds gusts but nothing serious...beams were dancing on the towers!   Glad everyone is ok; you can always fix the towers and antennas, even the houses.  Life is another story.

If all goes as planned, I will be QRT from Florida by July 1 this year, and go into the"retirement" phase of life in spite of it all.  It will take me at least a year to get going again, God willing.

Once PVRC, always PVRC!

If anyone saw the image on WRAL last night showing all the tracks of
rotation detected by radar for the day, (not necessarily confirmed
touchdown though all the known touchdowns are on these tracks), the
last track east went over chez N4AF.  The second to last track east
was responsible for a dozen deaths in a little place called
Askewville, in Bertie County, NC, where a dozen deaths are reported,
40 mi NNE of Howie's.

System was anything but out of gas when it got to eastern end of NC.
