One other consideration; if using USB interface to your rig, microham
exploits a proprietary firmware interface.
You may experience problems trying to find drivers or a kernel hack.

The recommended linux CW usb interface is K1EL winkey. Keep in mind that the
advantage of k1el is -
a) slightly cheaper
b) so2r support
c) linux support

--disadvantage of winkey:
unlike microham, no cat inteface built in.

My guestimate is that the efficiency of TR4W is such that you do not
have to offload CPU to Winkey (tho still a good idea; eg, why work the
cpu harder than necessary ?).
For N1MM, it is a bigger consideration. Altho we always run one multi
operating position w/o any offloading of CPU cycles to
winkey/micro keyer, it really is recommended for n1mm/windows.
