Page 101 of this month's QST has a few interesting items in the 75,50 
and 25 years ago.

1935 DX contest results showed W3SI poiting the wolds highest score 
making 234 contacts with 50 countries in ALL continents.

The 1936 Super Spider receiver is prominently featured in Hallicrafters' 
own ad.... Many dealers are carring it in stock including the Radio 
Shack in Boston.

Anybody know that Boston store is at all related to the currently dying 
Radio Shack chain?
