Anybody else having trouble submitting logs? I've tried two different
email accounts and both get failure messages when trying to send to
the ncjweb.com domain.

Score : 29,682
Rig : Orion I
Antennas : C3, dipoles, 160m inverted-L

Soapbox : The Good - After the repairs to the wire antennas, and
neglect of the beam and tower, I was quite happy how the station
played. I had decent runs on 20m, 80m, and smaller ones on 40m. I
generally felt decently loud. I managed a decent BIC time for the
early part of the contest (see later comments). No hardware failures,
AND I finally got the DVK working right.

The Bad - Band conditions, of course is #1. 20m was mediocre, 15m was
open to TX and that's about it. Never heard anybody on 10m, but I
didn't spend much time listening, so what do you expect? QRN on the
low bands was bad. The K9AY loops saved my ears and let me work guys
I probably could not have pulled out on the wires. DVK and audio work
great with the new sound card, but feeding the live audio through the
sound card produces just enough delay it sounds like an echo in the
headphones. When I started the contest I found myself speaking slower
than usual due to the delay and volume of the monitor. After turning
down the monitor volume, it was only mildly annoying. Audio reviews,
especially complaints, are welcome. This still needs tweaking.

The Ugly - What was intended to be a full time effort turned into a
part time effort after taking a dinner break. Note to self: avoid the
wife's leftover lasagna on contest weekends. Finally recovered around
10:00, so got on and worked what I could on 80 and 160 before calling
it a night.
