Fellow PVRCNC Members:
I think it is great to have a new repair service for ham gear "almost in our
back yard." I have several pieces of gear that need repair and my eyesight
and technical repair knowledge and experience have all slipped during my 57
years as a ham.
I signed up for a UN/PW with Vetex and plan to take several pieces of gear
to their facility in Richmond, VA.
If anyone in the Raleigh area has gear needing repair and you want to give
Vetex a try I will be happy to make a couple trips to drop off and pick up
gear...
If you would like me to take anything "within reason" that will fit in the
back of my SUV just contact me off line...

Welcome to Vetex,
In April 2009, a renowned contester and an electronic technician teamed up
to create a repair facility for Amateur radio equipment and related
accessories.
Vetex is a small company licensed in the state of Virginia. Our experience
totals over 75 years of contesting and maintaining equipment related to
contesting. If we have heard of it, we probably have burned it up, worn it
out or made it obsolete.
George has been working with radios since the early 80's, he has an
Electronics Degree from DeVry Institute of Technology he also works with
multi million dollar wafer processing machines for such companies like Texas
Instruments, Intel, Phillips, Qimonda and many others. He has a wide
spectrum of experience and has extensive knowledge in computers, robotics,
temperature controls, industrial controls, vacuum systems and gas
distribution systems. He has worked for Rockwell Collins as a radio
technician and other companies as a radio technician. The nice thing about
George is that if he doesn't know something he will quickly learn it and
hold on the info forever in his head.
Vetex's goal is to satisfy each customer to the fullest extent we can, with
that we provide a full 60 day warranty on our repairs. Vetex has agreed to
not charge the customer for repairs we cannot complete so there is no risk
to you the customer.Give us a try for your repair needs.
You are invited to visit our webpage at vetex (dot) com.
Thanks in advance
Take care
Bob and George
