[PVRCNC] ARRL SS Contest Analysis (and other contests too) in Excel

I found an interesting article in WorldRadio issue for October 2008 in the contesting section (page 31).  It lists a web site that has some Excel spreadsheets to analyze your contesting logs.

He has one for ARRL SS (includes both CW and Phone) and you just load your Cabrillo file into the Excel file.  He has a worksheet for instructions too.

and select the icon called Contest Log Analyzers 2007, you'll see a bunch of different contests to analyze.

If you are having trouble loading your Cabrillo file, just email it to me and I can send it back in the Excel file.  It is an interesting tool.  I looked at my SS Phone log and it is pretty cool to see, even for a small pistol station like me.  :-)

The Reports worksheet has some limitations on it and isn't working fully, as he noted it there too.  And the SSB QSOs in cells E7 - E28 don't add up as I would expect.  It looks like it is adding for the previous hour instead of that specific hour.  Like for 23:00, I would expect it to add QSOs that occurred from 23:00-23:59, but it is adding 22:00-22:59.  It looks like that FREQUENCY formula he is using in Excel adds that way as what I read in the Excel help section.

I did find a bug in two formulas though.  It is on the Checks worksheet for the sum formulas in cells C109 and E109.  He didn't include the first cell in the sum.  I emailed him about it already.

Other than that, it works great!
