[PVRCNC] PVRC/NC East - Chapter Meeting Imminent -

The meeting is Thursday night.  That is tomorrrow as I type, but it may 
be today when you are reading this.  Y'all come.  If it happens to be 
Friday or otherwise after October 2nd when you read this - you blew it!

Cool breezes, low humidity - it must be contest season again.

This is the only meeting the NC East chapter will have before the 2008 
CW Sweepstakes.  Come swap sweeps ideas and strategeries while the 
opportunity is available.

Sweepstakes fun fact - The 2008 Sweeps is the 75th anniversary of the 
contest.  The ARRL 'clean sweep' mug will be a special edition according 
to the 2008 rules.  There's other 'stuff', so read the rules.

Sure would be cool to put the club back on top for the 
nice-round-numbered anniversary, especially for you superstitious 
numerological types.

Come tell tall tales from Sweepstakes Past.  Lay the groundwork for 
station improvements to attack Sweepstakes Future.  Plan to Participate 
in Sweepstakes Present!

one.  Got a great idea?  Share it.  Feel like you have absolutely

We have programs out the wazooo, and per N4TL, a paper contest penned by 
the Interim Contest Meister's female blood kin.  We may also be privy to 
the official PVRC double super secret presentation on 2008 Sweepstakes. 
  KA1ARB will be guest Cat-herd Dujour in the absence of Official 
Cat-herd AA4NC.  In the case of Rob's absence, we'll pull a name from 
the hat at random to act as Cat-herd Dujour.
