Suffice it to say that LP in my case meant “Low Performance”, as in a
total of 14 QSO’s. However, to add another log to the total, I will
submit my few points.
My plan to implement the “Butt In Chair” philosophy went out the door
Saturday post noon. Apparently, my pre-contest dietary intake was not
conducive to proper body functions. As a result, my butt needed to be
in another smaller room of the QTH. I did manage to work a few
stations. The Saturday afternoon high winds from the passing storms
upset my wire arrays, and I was not feeling well enough to go outside
and do the necessary adjustments to support ropes. I called it quits
early Saturday evening, went to bed around 9pm, hoping to feel better
Sunday morning and try to make up some of the lost effort. Sunday
morning found my condition no better, so I did not even turn the rig
on. Relief occurred around 1 pm; however, I had to leave at 2:30pm for
a week’s business trip.
There is always next year!
