I'm sure anyone who operated ARRL DX SSB is now ready for a diversion.
But the Downtown DC meeting is a long haul for those of us on the
lunatic-fringe/frontier of the PVRC - So, what's a contester on the
fringe to do?
Well, as luck would have it, it is also almost time again for another
meeting of the NC-East chapter. (Note: Guests and vagabond contesters
are welcome too.)
Since El Escribano Inexacto didn't do his homework for what's really on
tap this week, and since the veracity of El Escribano Inexacto's minutes
are so often questioned by the "Establishment" log checking process, I
can guarantee with a 02.3955 percent confidence interval that:
#1) AA4NC will keep the NC-East Chapter trains running on time
#2) N4TL will provide another fill-in edition of the world famous "W0UCE
Paper Contests" to challenge your:
a) memory, b) intellect, c) patience, or d) all of the above.
#3) K4QPL will possibly be sharing a nifty little SO2R home brew project
as a program.
and of course,
#4) W4KAZ will reliably mis-report or completely fabricate 97.6045
percent of the actual proceedings in order to keep the simmering pot
stirred to his satisfaction
[ed note: I see some potential conflict arising from #1 and
#3........de W4KAZ :o ]
-- or something like that --
What's certain is that there will be an evening of food, fun and
fellowship with like minded individuals, not to mention interesting QRM
"out the wazzoo".
Word on the street is K4TMC is due another K3 commission....(At this
rate, Henry might need to hire an accountant!)
Where:
We meet at Manchester's Bar and Grill in North Raleigh. Manchesters Bar
and Grill is located at 9109 Leesville Road, Raleigh 27613.
Manchesters is in the Pinecrest Shopping Center which is 0.8 miles south
on Leesville from the Leesville Road exit of I-540.
When:
The "official" meeting time is 6:00 pm, Thursday March 6th, but we will
actually start whenever AA4NC or his appointed second decides to cut
through the usual high level of QRM. Usually somewhat after 6:00pm.
Feel free to come a bit early to add to the QRM and quaff an 807....
73,
W4KAZ, as always..../lid
