Comments:

Last year in CQ 160 CW, I had 330 Qs in 13 hours running high power. This
year, I had almost as many Qs in less than half the time even though I used
low power. I'll take this as an indicator that all the work on improving my
CW skills during the past year has started to pay off!

I worked 150 stations in 3 hours on Saturday evening and another 150 in 2.5
hours at the end of the contest. I was able to S&P at almost 40-45/hour (a
great rate for me) so I didn't run as much as I should have. Last year, my
runs averaged 42/hour...this year they averaged 75/hour...so more running
could have made a big difference.

I used my Marconi-T for transmit and receive so I decided not to chase any
DX stations...which hurt my mult count. I've been working on a dedicated
receive antenna but I'm not happy with the results yet. That will be a
summer project and something to look forward to next season.

Thanks for the Qs.

73, Barry K4CZ
