SOAPBOX: It's been said before, but NAQP is THE great contest format. Right
time, right length, no rockcrushers, continuous activity and wall to wall
fun! And the salute to SK contesters from a state or region adds a
meaningful touch.

To top it off, conditions were good but challenging. Openings on all bands
but some odd atmospherics under great propagation on 80. My reworked short
beverages north and west were so directional I had to keep switching not to
miss callers during an 80M fun run filled with noise and qrm. Beverages less
directional on 160 but in any event I could copy more stations than I could
work with just a low inverted vee. Hearing the west coast but alas they were
not hearing me. AZ was best mult on 160.

One of my radios is in the hospital so I didn't keep track of conditions as
I should and missed out on 40M opportunities, particularly late when 40 came
back and I assumed it had "gone long". Can't run on 160 so would have been
better chasing mults there SO2R while running 40.

Great PVRC participation. Thanks for the Q's.

73,

Jim, K4QPL
