[PVRCNC] NC East Chapter meeting Thursday

Happy New Year!  Happy New Month!  Happy New Chairman! Happy first PVRC 
meeting of the year!

Even if you are not so 'happy',  the East chapter of PVRC/NC has its 
regular meeting on Thursday January 3rd.  Everyone is welcome.

The normal agenda of tall tales and prevarication is on tap for the 
evening. The scribe's log will be diligently fact checked after the fact 
   - unfortunately probably not by the scribe.  :)

Tom, N4TL, has volunteered to provide the ever challenging paper contest 
for this month's meeting, promising a test of arcane knowledge on any 
and all facts and fictions related to the subject of "Olde Tyme Radio". 
  So all you wily Olde Tymers will be at an advantage over us young 
punks having little practical knowledge of valves, spark gaps, 
condensers, plug-in coils, or gentlemanly manners.

So come one, come all.  There can be no quality QRM without a quorum of 
contesters in the room.

Where:
We meet at Manchester's Bar and Grill in North Raleigh.  Manchesters Bar
and Grill is located at 9109 Leesville Road, Raleigh  27613.
Manchesters is in the Pinecrest Shopping Center which is 0.8 miles south
on Leesville from the Leesville Road exit of I-540.

When:
The "official" meeting time is 6:00 pm, Thursday June 7th, but will
actually be whenever K4QPL decides to cut through the usual high level
of QRM.  Feel free to come a bit early to add to the QRM and quaff an
