Hi Barry and all,
We are opening up our house and station again this year to provide the
opportunity for some of the non-HF OCRA members to give it a try. This
year we won't be running a KW or will we be running M2 - BUT, we will be
running two stations if needed. We will start with NC4KW and if we get
more people that want to operate I have the OK to use W4UNC also. Could be
quite a good time.
If you hear either call, stop by and give us a Q. You just might be the
first HF Q for a new operator.
73,
Bruce and Laurie

There is lots of PVRC involvement in the NC QSO Party. It is organized by
Henry W2DZO and the Forsyth Amateur Radio Club. As Marty W4MY mentioned, he
got 1st place for mobile stations and hopes to defend his title this year.
In addition, Jeff N8II got 1st place for out-of-state fixed stations and I
got 2nd place for in-state fixed stations. Bruce N1LN was very active with
a club station (NC4KW) that introduced lots of ops to contesting for the
first time. I know that many other PVRC members participated since they're
in my log.
Please join the fun tomorrow from 12:00 noon to 10:00 pm eastern time! On
CW, most stations will be near 3.540, 7.040 and 14.040. On phone, stations
will be near 3.860, 7.260 and 14.260. If you plan to submit a log, note
that there is a 100w power limit.
Go PVRC!
73, Barry K4CZ
