Does anyone have an old, cheap, dirty, abandoned or otherwise rejected multi-band vertical laying around that I could, beg, borrow, buy or steal and take to the coast before the hurricane season is over? I'd like to put it on the dock and see if the much vaunted saltwater effect takes precedence over the epithet that I think was first directed at the Gotham (remember that one?) that a vertical "radiates equally bad in all directions."

In the alternative, does anyone have a design for something that can be built with nothing more sophisticated than parts found at Lowe's or Home Depot?

(Not in the market for a BigIR or even a SmallIR!)
