HA!

Well, since I put "58" in the message, that shouldn't be hard to determine.
However, the story behind it is simple. I got my novice license in 1957.
Hence my cw home call check of "57". We'll be a multi so if we used either
Brad's or my check we'd be half wrong. However, I never made a qso until
1958 so maybe that could be acceptable.

And now as Paul Harvey says, "For the rest of the story...."

Howie, N4AF, was first licensed in '58. The last two times NY4A was operated
in SS was by Howie and he used check 58. NY4A is at his QTH and I'll be
d***d if we're going to waste time with fills or argue with anyone whose
logging software prefills 58!! I don't care whether they listen to us or
not. As Will says, "Log 'em, thank 'em and QRZ!"

Listen carefully, Larry. We may give you a special exchange ;^)

 GL & 73,

Jim
