Hi Nate and all,

I'm glad you asked. WPX sort of pushed it aside temporarily.

We put out a request for volunteers a few weeks ago and have had good
responses. We have an ad hoc committee of N4AF, NT4D, W2NSO and myself to
make up the list which will go to ARRL. This will be talked about at the
next club meeting and should be finalized early June. Operators will
volunteer direct to the host station which will be operating as multi op.

We're still making decisions on volunteer stations, but right now we're
especially still looking for volunteers for one of the tougher assigments
during this part of the year -- 160M cw and phone. Who knows if it will be
workable for any distance, but we'd like to be there for those who want to
get an HQ mult.

Not only for 160, but because all stations will be providing mults as "HQ"
for W1AW, we would like to at least be trying to be heard on every band and
both phone and cw to the max extent the conditions will allow during the
full 24 hour period which runs from 1200 UTC Saturday, July 14 through 1200
UTC Sunday, July 15. That's 8 a.m. to 8 a.m.

We're hoping everyone can attend the next two club meetings in which this
will be discussed and some tips on operating as W1AW/4 will be given.

73,

Jim, K4QPL

Hey gang, is there any more information about w1aw/4 as far as what stations
are hosting in addition to N4AF?

Nate
