Can't decide which new radio toy to buy? Going to miss the Dayton
Hamvention AGAIN? Despondent over not being able to hear the stations
that the other guys are running 200/hr? Wondering how K4CIA keeps
winning the ever-popular W0UCE 'paper contests'? Did your favorite
antenna get blown apart in the wind storm, like mine did?

Growing tired of these annoying tickler notes from W4KAZ?

Well! Then you need to come to the Thursday May 3rd NC chapter meeting
of PVRC! Put an end to your misery.

W0UCE confides that he has prepared a special challenge for the joint
meeting. That is sure to test everyone's gray matter. Except possibly
K4CIA, who has been accused of shuffling through the contest paperwork
while W0UCE was busy negotiating traffic...... However, K4CIA maintains
these accusations are libelous and the charges are false. (Bill denies
the allegations, and he denies the Alli-Ga-Tor!)

Final notice! Tomorrow(i.e., Thursday, May 3rd) is the semi-irregular
regular, but-not-quite-that-regular joint chapter meeting for all NC
chapters of PVRC. Y'all Come. (Translation for you one and two
lander's: that means "everyone is welcome and encouraged to attend".)

Details and Directions:
The regular May 3rd PVRC NC East meeting will not be at the normal
location, but will be in Burlington, NC at the Golden Corral.

The Golden Corral restaurant is on 3108 Garden Rd, just off HUFFMAN MILL
RD, very close to I-40 in Burlington. The meeting will officially begin
at 6:30, and the program will start promptly at 7:00. Henry, W2DZO, will
be telling sea stories about the V26H DXpedition for the recent ARRL DX
SSB. The meeting location is "Room B" at the Golden Corral. We
anticipate a fast paced meeting "exchange", as we are all going to be
driving a bit farther home after this group meeting.

PVRC'rs far and wide are welcome, as well as guests, spouses, or any
other amateurs interested in radio contesting. Please drive carefully,
and beware the Mebane speed trap. Thanks for the tip from KA2SBC via
K1ZW. (Contesters would NEVER try to go fast, now would they?)

73,
Keith, W4KAZ
