Well, I'd never done the first RTTY diddle before so decided this was the time to figure it out. I probably should have had some "elmer'ing" but jumping in cold was sort of fun. Got N1MM/MMTTY running and then had to figure out how to make the Orion and the sound card listen to the same dweedles. (Is that the correct technical term?) Then I had to cobble together a different parallel interface to get some PTT action.  I haven't a clue whether my modulation (I assume one modulates these things) was correct but along with the rest of the world I did work K3MM as well as a couple other PVRC'ers.

And of course, the typical cw exchange leaves something to be desired for RTTY, not to mention how do you do fills. Anyhow, got all the F-keys sorted out and it began to be fun. This was not a contest designated weekend so only got on during times when 80 was about the only game in town. Still haven't fixed my 160M antenna so don't know if anyone was down there late.

I think I'll be more ready for the next one!  Meantime, ROLL ON ARRL DX CW! Will be trying to make a joyful noise with the gang at NY4A  M-2.
