I too participated in the CQP.

Here are my final stats:

Op Time: 10 hrs
Class: Single Op - High Power
CW Qs: 210
SSB Qs: 190
Mults: 57 (never found Tuolumne Cty)
Score: 57,570

As you all know, I am still "TOWERLESS" and relegated to using low dipoles
but they worked fairly well. I decided to purchase a temporary vertical
antenna in an attempt to solve the interference issue between 20 meters and
40 meters and allow for SO2R for sweepstakes. Due to the proximity of the
two dipoles the interference makes good SO2R impossible. With luck the
vertical should also allow for high power on 15 meters (and 10 if open).
This weekend I used my 40 dipole on 15 and high power was OUT OF THE
QUESTION. The house was jumping around every time I either hit the key or
spoke into the mic. NOT A GOOD THING !! That antenna should be
delivered, installed and functional well in advance. Also, if the
bulldozer ever gets my antenna field completed, I will try to get a couple
of temporary beverages up for 75/80 meters.

Bruce - N1LN
