[PVRCNC] PVRC is a winner!

No, I haven't looked at NCCC scores, and you know, it almost doesn't matter.

If I'm reading Anthony's statistics correctly, as of today the claimed
scores, and I'm sure not all the logs are in, for PVRC in cw and phone total
19,389,056. THAT IS A RECORD for at least the past 10 years! (Only used info
available on the net). It's even higher than in years that we won the gavel.
When all the logs are in it's possible to hit 20 Million claimed.

That's up almost 50% over last year!  (2005 - 13,786,604 official ARRL
score, claimed n/a)
It beats our prior record in 2001 of 17,078,610 by more than 10% and almost
doubles our 2003 and 2004 results of about 10M.

Who says contesting is declining? If getting out there, participating, and
having fun contesting is what it's all about, then it's never gotten better
than this.

So if you were on for Sweepstakes in either cw or ssb, turn around, pat
yourself on the back and say, "I'm a team player for a record breaking club
effort in 2006!"

If we edge out NCCC, that will only be the cherry on the top.
