[PVRCNC] Thursday meeting

Jeff has already sent out the notice of the meeting this Thursday at
Manchester's.

I would like to add that this is the one meeting of 2006 that YOU DO NOT
WANT TO MISS!

This meeting celebrates 10 years of PVRC-NC and will be a full evening of
good times, good friends and "Remember that........!"  Jack has some special
events on the program and members from out of town who can't usually attend
will be here. Howie, N4AF, legendary contester, PVRC Director, and the host
of the PVRC NC club station, NY4A will be here.

A number of members have gone through their old photos of mostly PVRC ham
happenings over the past ten years and during the evening we will be running
a background DVD with a collage of these photos. Quality varies based on the
source pix, but I'm sure there will be a lot of "Is that really NNNN?" or
"That tower was a real bear to erect...." etc. etc. I PROMISE, repeat
PROMISE that it will not be run as a mandatory slide show with interminable
commentary like your neighbor's summer vacation!  And don't laugh too much
at someone's candid picture--your own may roll up next.

We're going to have a great time looking back at the past ten years and also
thinking about the future---which starts up again on Saturday with CW
Sweepstakes.

If you haven't been to a PVRC meeting for a while, this is the one to catch.
And if you have a digital photo or two you think should be added, email them
to me urgently. The final DVD goes to press about noon Thursday.
