Comments: My son-in-law, Jim, W4TMO (formerly WA2JFK), and I had a great time
operating the contest together, even with my humble "antenna farm". We did 
mostly
S&P, alternating shifts and getting plenty of sleep nights. Our initial goal 
was 500 Q's
and later changed to 750k points; we met both and are proud of our 
performances.
Maybe I'm not cut out for this SSB stuff because I had an awful time hearing 
through 
the QRM. Plus, I seemed to attract an awful lot of stations that were barely 
above the
noise level (conditions? QRP ops?). The QSB on the high bands was terrible at 
my
station...you'd get a call from a marginal station and he'd fade completely 
away as he
was giving his report...then you'd try several times and eventually he'd come 
back up!
No 200/hr rates at THIS station!!!
Also used Telnet spotting throughout the contest, something I RARELY do 
because
(as a single op) I enjoy the surprises of working new ones. With N1MM Logger, 
it was
absolutely great in the multi environment, especially with splits!
Glad to contribute this modest score to "the cause".
