Debugging a preamplifier design for ARRL/DX, no doubt.
Thanks for that info. I can save my money and time for some other
endeavor, like decoding my daughter's shoulder-expressions. I recently
learned that spray-on silicone lube is the magic spell for getting UHF
connectors to slip over the jacket of 213. I'd used Davis BuryFlex and
RG8 so much I thought I needed "special" UHF males for that coax type!

PS I'm taking Jenny and Emily up the east coast in a week: car-camping,
monument-looking, Manhattan doll-store visiting, book-partying vacation.
But if we can get back in time I might get on for IARU (it would be 11
years since the one in 1995 that was my first contesting experience).
Jack: I'd like a short slot for a fall meeting for a belated celebration
of the 10th anniversary of this PVRC chapter. I'll send you and Jim an
outline (ping me if you think I'm forgetting).
Oh, and I'm hoping to take a Motorola Q with me on a try and buy. If all
goes well we can watch England play football in the car. Way to go, radio!
