[PVRCNC] PVRCNC-EAST gathering...This Thursday 5/4

The PVRCNC-East crew will be meeting again this Thursday, May 4th.
 
While the meeting officially starts at 6pm, feel free to show up  earlier for 
extra QSO time.   
Manchester's is located at 9109 Leesville Road, Raleigh  27613.  Manchesters 
is in the Pinecrest Shopping Center which is 0.8 miles going  south on 
Leesville at the Leesville Road exit of I-540.
 
A few weeks ago many of us enjoyed attending the RARSFEST in Raleigh.   
Approximately 20 members made the fest.  A more thorough summary of  membership 
activities at the hamfest will follow our meeting later this  week.  A special 
THANK YOU goes out to Bert, N4CW, who volunteered to  arrange and prepay for 3 
tables.  These tables allowed members to have a  place to sell items, served as 
a meeting place for all to congregate and drop  off goodies, and functioned 
as a PR conduit for PVRC and contesting to  those at the hamfest.  So, here's 
the bottom line:   Please  consider chipping in a couple bucks to help offset 
Bert's expense.  As the  generous gent that he is, Bert has NOT asked for 
reimbursement, BUT, we should  do our best to make sure that those who step forward 
to help our group don't get  left holding the financial bag.  If we don't 
step up, we may find  those who are willing to do such things in the future few 
and far between!   We will pass the hat Thursday...so if you can...even if you 
didn't sell anything  on the table...please help the cause ($2 to $5).
