Two top officials of were convicted in an Italian court of polluting 
the environment from radio BC emissions north of Rome.

Vatican Radio director said they would appeal.  He said the 
transmission center had always met international norms of acceptable 
levels of EM radiation.

Question:  How could 300 watts ever exceed RF limits?  I thought no 
Italian xmitter ever ran more than 300 watts.
