Hi Larry,

As recently elected (read: "Railroaded"), chairman, I extend a warm welcome
to Potomac Valley Radio Club, and a special welcome to PVRC-NC East. We all
look forward to meeting you.

We normally take a break from regular meetings during the Summer and try to
do something less formal. I'm in the process of finding some new locations
to try out, and I believe one of the members is planning to host an antenna
party and cookout. We'll be getting out more info soon. For your scores to
count for the club, you must be officially admitted after attending two
meetings. We definitely want that to happen soon. You've probably checked it
out, but I would also mention our NC web site, http://www.pvrcnc.org/

We also encourage members to participate with other clubs and demonstrate
contesting in this "non-contest" event. CW ops are usually especially
welcomed.

Several of us are helping one of our members, N4YDU, start a club in the
Franklinton High School. We'll be setting up at Cedar Creek and can use some
more ops if you haven't made other plans. I'm forwarding the details
separately, but if you have questions, let me know.
