[PVRCNC] CVS headphones

I think there was one more pair behind the counter at the CVS at NC55 and Highhouse in western Cary.
I tried the pair that was given to me at the NCEast holiday meeting last night. Surprising reduction in ambients when they're on.
Certain sounds are reduced entirely, a few odd ones get through a bit. Intriguing why some sound would get completely cancelled and not others. Seems to have something to do with continuous tonality to the sound. Very low frequency rumbling comes through some.
Regardless, a very large reduction in ambients. Since I have two pair, am going to leave one of them at work, where sometimes the prattle can be very distracting.

My store in Durham said they still have 3 sets behind the counter so I'm going to try them out tonight. FYI you can search for a store near you at http://cvsstore.geoserve.com/scripts/esrimap.dll?Name=L&Com=fo&Db=DLRCvs&Ds=Store
