About 6 hrs.
    Final Score = 51356 points.

As N2NFG asked me when I worked him, "Whadya' mean 'Bravo'?"

Brian, K3KO made me an offer I couldn't refuse on a genuine "10" Heath
SB-1000 so I brought it home Sat. evening. Took me a while to get the DIN
relay cables right to my TS 850 and to try to avoid QRM'ing the bands while
I established tuning points for my antennas. (Yeah, I ended up producing a
disproportionate share of QRM when I switched bands). Was probably also
nominated "Lid of the day" when I couldn't understand what people were
saying and asked for numerous fills. I eventually discovered I had the high
and low PBT cranked down for cw and even good signals sounded like bad
audio. (Shows how much I know about operating SSB!)

Had other things to do, so was never serious about the contest, but from an
operating standpoint I got it all together late this afternoon when, coupled
with the "fresh meat" phenomenon, hit peaks of 125+ and sustained a rate of
over 100 on 20 until I got tired and thirsty after about 1 1/2 hrs and
stopped. There was still a pileup when I decided I had had enough. Thanks
for all the spots. Tried 75 later, but couldn't find a good run frequency
and having had big guys eat my low power lunch countless times, I still
don't have enough of the HP mentality to just squeeze in where the signals
are less than S-9. There's a possibility some day I'll learn to operate SSB
consistently.

Won't make WW CW at NY4A or at home, but Nate, N4YDU, will keep the shack
here warm as guest op.

73,

Jim, K4QPL
