My new garage/workshop/ham shack is nearing completion. I've wired it for
LOTS of lighting from 48" two-tube commercial fixtures.

Lowes and Home Depot have three grades of the same fixtures. All use the
same tubes. Seems the main difference is in the ballast circuit. Basic uses
magnetic and the others use electronic. There is a price difference, but
over the long haul it's not the issue.

Question: Does anyone have knowledge and/or experience whether from an RF
noise standpoint it makes any difference at all, and if so, what should I
choose? My gut reaction is to avoid the electronic ballasts, but they are
promoted as quieter (I guess from the hum standpoint) more economical and
longer lasting. But the last thing I need is 18 fixtures giving me the
equivalent of BPL in my shack!

Thanks, gang!
