My hemaroids are offended by this remark!
For three years I've used a Steelcase 4535330DP and it appears that the entire
arm assembly is removable, suggesting there is a model that lacks arms if you
really need it that way.
This is the second best chair I've used over the years, the better one being
a Herman Miller ergonomic design from the late 70s. If I wasn't in a hurry
I'd identify a few of the very best chairs and periodically poll the places
selling used furniture. A used Herman Miller in good shape might cost $100-200
but should last a very, very long time (mine lasted from 1978 to around 1994).
