[PVRCNC] PVRC/NC West Christmas Party Extravaganza

PVRCNC West CHRISTMAS PARTY MINUTES
 
      The 1st annual PVRCNC West Christmas party was held on Monday
Dec.22, 2003, 7PM at COBALTS (which will be our regular meeting location
each 4th monday of the month.)

We welcomed our new members as this was their 2nd meeting:

Gary Carter/WA4IAM attended his 1st meeting (Gary is currently on the
Board of Directors of the Antique Wireless Association.)
 
Before, during and after food and drinks, the meeting was briefly called
to order by Chairman Henry Heidtmann/W2DZO, thanking all for attending
and wishing every one a Happy Holiday season. 
 
For anyone interested A TX455 tower has been donated to Forsyth Amatuer
Radio Club, and will be offered for sale!!!! Contact Henry, W2DZO for
more info!!!
 
Discussion varied thru the evening with talk about propagation, the
recent 10m conditions, NAQP options and other technical matters way
beyond my scope of recollection!
 
It was also unanimously decided to make this an annual event!
 
Don Edwards/WS4NC gave everyone a very creative christmas card with
references to a very warm place frozen over, (Hint, its a county in
Michigan) with a gift of questionable value of sorts!! 
He had to go to Virginia to get them, and was heard mumbling something
about a contest station if anybody won! (He also wrote all the numbers
down....can we trust this guy?)

We also talked about a possible meeting with PVRC NC EAST sometime in
the Spring. Henry said he will discuss further with Guy, K2AV.

All in all it was a very nice evening. Meeting adjourned 4 hours later
at 11:00PM.
