Subject: BPL Seminar in Cary
Dear ARRL Members,
As I have mentioned before, the BPL issue is one which has potential to
greatly affect Amateur Radio. The announcement below can't wait for
Section News to come out late next week. If you're in that part of the
state you should find it fairly interesting.
73,
John Covington, W4CC
ARRL NC Section Manager
BPL Seminar
The Cary ARC will host a Seminar on Broadband over Power Lines (BPL) on
Thursday, January 15, 2004, 7:31 p.m., at the Herbert Young Community
Center (HYCC), which is the same building that the CARC Mid-Summer
SWAPFEST is held.
Radio Amateurs from Wake County and surrounding counties are invited to
attend. The room reserved for the Seminar will hold 300 persons! The
new 450+ parking deck is (finally) open for convenient access.
The Seminar will be conducted by Gary Pearce, KN4AQ, and Frank Lynch,
W4FAL, who have camped over this issue for some time. The BPL landscape
is changing almost every day. You need to attend this meeting to get on
board with this latest threat to the spectrum.
Talk in: 146.88 MHz, -0.6
