Hi Folks,
Looks like Jan and I will (sadly) be selling the NC station soon. Although I have space up in Virginia where I can store all my gear, it'll be several years before I can erect them at a new QTH. I thought I'd see if any PVRC clubmates might be interested in some of the larger bits as follows:
(1) 100 foot Rohn 55G tower. I'd want to sell this as a package. "Package" meaning everything needed for a complete Phillystrand 6700i guyed, 100 foot tower. 20 foot 3/8" x 2" OD 1025/1026 mast included. No rotor and you'll need your own guy rods, holes and concrete too. Unless you want to dig up and figure out how to transport the 1 cu yard anchor blocks I used.
Those of you that have seen my 55G tower install will hopefully agree that I did this project right and didn't cut any corners. Proper guy wire brackets, K7PN rotor plate, 12" turnbuckles, second bearing plate to make rotor swaps easier, yadda, yadda. Everything was bought new in Y2K or later except for the sections which were used and in good condition. I'd wire brush the sections and repaint before putting it back up, but that's probably a good idea anyway.
Looking at $3700 or so for the the whole package. I can supply a detailed Excel worksheet to interested parties specifying each part included and costs.
(2) 20M 4/4 array using M-Squared 20M4DX antennas - KO7X says no ice damage to these yagis. I have them stacked about 105/55 feet and switched U/L/B using an RCS8V switchbox and the classic 1/4 wave coax trickery. It's been a great array for 20M from the east coast. I know I'm loud into Europe, and in domestic events the signal is always in the top tier from the east coast into California.
I'd package this array complete with the RCS8V switch, and all the coax lines, T-fittings, etc, for the phasing harness. Looking at $1000 for the complete array and I'll even take it down.
(3) Other antennas: pair of 105CAs, older 402CD, Cushcraft XM515, HB 3L-10M on an 8' boom, HB-4L 15M on 24' boom. Not really itching to sell any of these, but if someone needs to flesh out their farm or stack with some existing yagis we can talk.
(4) 10 x 5 foot trailer. I bought this to move tower and yagis and other large stuff (aka ham junk) around. It's a nice unit from Raleigh Hitch with proper wheels and such - not one of those yard toys from Home Despot. Cost over a grand but I'm not going to need it out here in California. If your wife will let you have something like this, and you have room for it, we'll make a deal.
Cheers,
Mark
