[PVRCNC] Mast coupling query

Guys,

I'm looking for a way to couple another 6 or 7' mast to a 2" Rohn
galvanized steel mast presently in use.  I don't have the other mast
yet (anybody got one?).  The second mast has only to handle under 4
square foot of antenna.

The most preferable option would not require removing the present
mast.  It is accessible at ground level though.

Thoughts:

1) Some kind of internal plug which fits both masts and can be pinned.
Possible difficulties: a) Galvanized mast ID is oddball and
non-uniform b)second mast may be different ID thus requiring something
be turned down at a machine shop.

2) Use a rotor bottom mast mount for the existing mast and get a plate
with the matching bolt holes welded to the additional mast.  Concerned
about sideload cracking the casting.  Alternatively use two mast
mounts mated together.

3) Use some kind of clamshell bolt-on with through bolts.

4) Find somewhere some smaller diameter mast material that will
telescope inside the rohn mast.  (need rabbits foot...)

Suggestions(?)
