This contest was nothing but FUN! All bands had good conditions and
activity. Was still working on antennas to be QRV 160 so started contest
late and 10 suffered a bit. 20 was like a nationwide party line for several
hours and towards the end 160 sounded more like 80. Disappointed I ran out
of time while there but glad I got the full size 160 dipole up for the
contest. While my West Coast Pipeline (40M wire beam) remained a victim of
the ice storm, with the exception of the annoying nulls off the ends, the
rotating dipole did well. KH6ND was so loud on 40 at 0500 I first logged
him as K5BND and had to scramble when he came back with "Hi" as the QTH.
Team two will need to hold a conference to determine suitable punishment for
WJ9B dropping the baton! (Just kidding, Willie--sorry you had to drop out.)
