Guys,

Just trying to integrate an FT100D as a second radio (not SO2R).

The first thought was to put it right before the amp and let the
logging software select which rig via LPT port signal. (Pull one rig
out, plug in another)

The first aspect of this is to make sure that the two rigs are
sufficiently isolated. That is one isn't transmitting a large leakage
signal into the other. Other stuff like switching keys, mikes et al
comes after this is done successfully.

At the 100 watt level the best I've been able to do with a HB relay
box is 50db of isolation. That puts about 0.02 volts into the other
rig's rx terminals. That's equivalent to an S9+60db signal. I
suspect that is good enough isolation and won't kill the rx but would
prefer to somehow pick up another 20 db or so.

The present design switches the outgoing line to the amp and
simultaneously shorts the other rig's coax.

Any suggestions would be appreciated. Perhaps there are some quality
T/R switches out there ......
